I am delighted to welcome you to The Howard Academy Trust website. The Howard Academy Trust started in Autumn 2015 and continues to grow. Our overarching aim and vision is for our member schools to deliver an outstanding education for children and young people.
We aim to create a close knit family of Good and Outstanding schools through partnership, challenge, accountability and support within a cooperative framework, whilst ensuring that
schools within the Trust will retain their unique and individual character. We are truly inclusive and aim to establish the highest expectations for young people and all those who work with them.

The Howard School is a thriving school with a reputation for providing the highest quality educational opportunities for all students.
Temple Mill is a single form entry school with its own onsite Nursery. There are 8 classes in school, from Nursery to Year 6, with have over 200 pupils on roll.
Deanwood is a community primary school serving the full primary age range from 4 to 11. At present there are 200 children on roll, organised into seven classes, across the school.
Miers Court is a two form entry Primary, proud of their reputation as a friendly and caring place where children are encouraged to be the very best they can in all aspects of school life.
Thames View is a two-form entry school, and with our Nursery, educate 480 children in a friendly and caring environment.
Waterfront UTC is a University Technical College, offering a fantastic, unrivalled opportunity for any young person, aged 13-19, wishing to pursue a career in the Construction and Engineering sector.
The Abbey School is a non-selective secondary school in the town of Faversham in Kent, United Kingdom.
A popular, non-selective secondary academy for boys aged 11 – 16, serving the local community of Sidcup.
The Rowans offer alternative provision with a firm focus on supporting, engaging and raising the aspirations of every pupil. Through a trauma informed approach, all pupils have the opportunity to re-engage with education.
As a Trust, we currently comprise of Kent secondary and primary schools in Rainham, Gillingham, Strood, Faversham and Sidcup.

As part of #NAW2025 #Apprentice, we are sharing some of our apprentices' journeys. Ross joined the Trust in 2022 and has undertaken not one but two finance apprenticeships, allowing him to gain further skills and knowledge to develop his career and fill the essential skills needed within the Trust. Ross has recently been promoted and is currently supporting our growing finance team. -- "My initial apprenticeship began with the Trust in March 2022. I completed my Level 3 AAT apprenticeship in November 2023 and commenced a new Level 4 AAT apprenticeship in May 2024. I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship with the Trust, as it has enabled me to combine college and work. I have mainly focused on learning the course at college, yet meeting new people was an unexpected benefit. This experience has enriched me both socially and mentally. The Trust consistently seeks new ways to enhance my understanding of the business and the education finance sector. They have supported me throughout this journey by offering a study day before exams, allowing me to concentrate on revision and ensuring I feel one hundred percent prepared for my exam. Additionally, they allocate an hour each week for me to accomplish my development tasks, during which I write a report about a skill I have acquired from college or work. Other staff members across the Trust have been immensely helpful in providing testimonies for my apprenticeship tasks, including some I don't work with directly! Apprentice Spotlight As part of #NAW2025 #EmployerTuesday, we are sharing some of the journeys of our apprentices. Amber joined us as an HR apprentice, working within our HR team to provide vital support in both recruitment and day-to-day HR services to all staff with the central team and across our nine academies. After joining us as an Apprentice, Amber has since been promoted to the role of HR Coordinator --- "Since starting my Level 3 HR Apprenticeship with The Howard Academy Trust in September 2023, I have thoroughly enjoyed every step of the journey. The apprenticeship has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and skills, thanks to the guidance of a supportive team that cares about my development. The Trust has been influential in supporting my growth and offering encouragement and recognition, which has motivated me to achieve my goals. This experience has enhanced my confidence and abilities in HR, setting a strong foundation for my career. As I approach my End Point Assessment, I am proud of my progress and excited about the future.
