On April 1st 2023, The Abbey School officially became a part of the THAT family of academies.

The Abbey School is a co-educational 11-19 academy, situated in Faversham.The Abbey School joining our community will bring many shared benefits across both our primary and secondary phases of education.

On the last day of Term 4, the THAT Central Team attended The Abbey School to deliver their staff development day, which provided an opportunity to formally welcome The Abbey School into THAT, and a further opportunity for the wider teams to get to know each other.

Sessions were led by our Trust Leadership Team and Dr Speller (Headteacher at The Abbey). The focus of the day was to induct staff into THAT, share the benefits of being part of THAT and provide some CPD to all staff around key school priorities. We would like to thank all the staff at The Abbey School for their warm welcome, and look forward to working with them over the coming terms and years.
