On Thursday 6th March, World Book Day, Deanwood Primary School proudly opened Mr Slack's Reading Pavilion and Garden, a heartfelt tribute to Assistant Head and English Lead Ollie Slack, who passed away in early 2023, but whose passion for reading and storytelling continues to inspire pupils and staff alike. Made possible through the generosity of the Deanwood and The Howard Academy Trust community, this beautiful space will be a place of joy, imagination, and learning for years to come. A touching moment saw Mr Slack's daughter, Willow, cut the ribbon, marking the start of a new chapter where stories will continue to be cherished.
